Antique American Chestnut

Once the dominant specie in the great American hardwood forest, the American Chestnut was virtually wiped out by the Chestnut blight of the early 20th century. Rare and beautiful, our Chestnut flooring is re-milled from carefully dismantled barns, mills, and farmhouses. Available in solid ¾” planking which has been kiln-dried, tonque & grooved, back-relieved, with pre-squared ends.

Rustic American Chestnut
	Re-milled from old barn beams and timbers with a color ranging from golden to medium brown. Containing distinctive worm holes and worm tracking along with knots, nail holes and weathering cracks. Provides warm rustic character to any project.

Distressed American Chestnut
	Milled primarily from aged barn siding and weathered boards. Displays wider color variation than Rustic Chestnut, with random darkening created by years of use. Will also contain knots, numerous worm holes and tracks, weathering cracks, nail holes, saw marks, and other signs of prior use. Creates a distinctive, unique floor that imparts a sense of history to your home.
