Wood Flooring SpecificationsOur hardwood flooring is milled from properly kiln dried, stress relieved lumber and has a uniform moisture content of 6 to 9%. Our flooring is 3/4 inches thick and is precisely milled to NOFMA profile tongue and groove on edges and ends with a stress relieved back. Unfinished flooring is a square edged product that will require jobsite sanding to "level" any plank uprise due to uneven sub-flooring. All flooring is milled on the net full face, i.e.: a 4-inch plank will have a full 4 inch face. We offer a variety of different length flooring products to meet our customer's unique needs. Some of the wood flooring products we supply are offered pre-finished with a seven coat UV-cured clear polyurethane finish. Pre-finished flooring is milled with micro-beveled edges. Our flooring is sold by the net square foot of coverage. Please add 5% to your net measurement for cutting and fitting. We offer our flooring in over a dozen different species. We also can locate hard-to-find species, figured woods, wide widths, and long lengths. Please call for a quote on your specific needs. GradesSelect: Virtually free of any character markings. May contain very infrequent knot swirls. May have minor color and grain variation. #1 Common: May contain infrequent tight knots, mineral streak, and seasoning checks. Color and grain may have slight variation. Rustic: Informal appearance. Will contain many natural character markings, including; knots, mineral streak, worm holes, grub holes, bark pockets, seasoning checks, and color and grain variation. Rift/Quartersawn: Available in select and #1 common grades. Rift sawn in Oak displays straight parallel grain lines with small frequent ray fleck. Quartersawn in Oak exhibits straight parallel grain with a bold ray flake pattern, sometimes called tiger striping. In woods other than Oak, there is no discernible difference in appearance between Rift and Quartersawn, therefore they are sold as Rift & Quartersawn (R&Q). Packing & ShippingAll flooring is packaged in nested bundles and a tally of the linear footage of each width shipped is included with each shipment. All orders are palletized on a wood skid and shipped via common carrier F.O.B. our mill. Local delivery of some items is available by company owned trucks. AvailabilityNormal turn around time for orders is 2 to 3 weeks. However, many popular flooring items may be in stock and readily available. Some species and widths, due to limited availability, may require extended time to supply. Our GuaranteeAll of our flooring is guaranteed against manufacturing defects. Any defect that would render the plank(s) unfit for safe functional use will be considered. These defects include unsound material, defective milling, and improper moisture content. Claim for replacement plank(s) may be made after customer inspection, but prior to installation. Any planks giving rise to claim under this warranty will be replaced free of charge, after company inspection and approval. This warranty only covers the cost of replacement planks and does not cover the cost of labor and other associated costs. Care should be given to reading and understanding our grade specifications prior to ordering. |
